Introduction

At Blendology, we are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards and ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our operations or supply chain. As a responsible business, we align our practices with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and strive for transparency in how we work to prevent these violations within our company and supplier relationships.

Our Business

Blendology provides innovative, sustainable, and reusable digital badging solutions for events. While our operations are primarily in-house, our badges are manufactured abroad by carefully selected suppliers who meet our ethical standards. We operate globally, and all employees based in the UK are paid at least the living wage, in line with our commitment to fair wages and ethical treatment.

Our Values

Our core values underpin our approach to ethical business practices:

  • Innovation: We continually evolve our technology to offer advanced networking solutions.

  • Sustainability: We are committed to reducing waste by promoting the reuse of our products and ensuring environmentally responsible production methods.

  • Simplicity: Our products are designed to be intuitive and easy to use.

  • Connection: We facilitate meaningful human connections at every event.

Supply Chain and Due Diligence

Blendology’s supply chain involves third-party manufacturers, primarily abroad. We only partner with suppliers who meet UK and EU legal standards regarding ethical labour practices. Each supplier undergoes rigorous vetting, and no contract is awarded until all checks have been thoroughly completed. Regular evaluations of our suppliers are conducted to ensure ongoing compliance with modern slavery laws.

Risk Assessment

We regularly assess our supply chain for potential risks of modern slavery or human trafficking. Suppliers in higher-risk regions or industries are subject to increased scrutiny. Our continuous risk assessments help us to proactively identify and address any vulnerabilities before they become an issue.

Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

Our commitment to ethical practices extends beyond the onboarding of suppliers. We actively monitor and review our supply chain for any signs of modern slavery or unethical practices. As part of our continuous improvement efforts, we conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure that our partners comply with our ethical standards. Should any supplier fail to meet these standards, we will take immediate action, including reporting to relevant authorities and terminating contracts where necessary.

Transparency and Annual Reporting

To ensure transparency, we are committed to publishing annual statements outlining the steps we have taken to prevent modern slavery in our operations and supply chain. This will include an overview of risk assessments, audits, and any actions taken to address non-compliance. This statement will be publicly available on our website to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to ethical practices.

Training and Awareness

As Blendology grows, we are committed to providing comprehensive training to our employees to raise awareness of the risks of modern slavery. This training will equip our staff with the knowledge to identify potential risks and the steps they can take to report concerns. Suppliers will also be encouraged to undertake training to ensure they uphold the same high standards of ethical behaviour.

Reporting and Whistleblowing

Blendology operates an open and transparent reporting system for all suppliers and partners. Any concerns regarding unethical practices, including modern slavery, must be reported directly to the CEO. If any issues are identified, they will be promptly investigated, and appropriate action will be taken. Although whistleblowing provisions are not currently necessary within our small team, as we grow, we will implement a more formal process for reporting and addressing such concerns.

Non-Compliance

Any supplier found to be in violation of our modern slavery policy will be immediately suspended from all contracts and orders. Non-compliance will result in contract termination, and the relevant authorities will be notified. Blendology has a zero-tolerance approach to any breaches of human rights or ethical standards.

Summary

Blendology is dedicated to operating in an ethical, transparent, and responsible manner. We take pride in upholding the highest standards in our business and supply chain operations, ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking are eradicated from every level of our operations. Our ongoing commitment to monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement ensures that we remain vigilant in maintaining these standards.
