Sustainability Policy

At Blendology, sustainability is at the core of our mission. We are committed to reducing environmental impact through innovative, long-lasting solutions that eliminate waste, minimise carbon emissions, and reduce the use of non-renewable resources.

1. Sustainable Product Design
Our product line is designed with longevity and environmental responsibility in mind:

  • Lite Badge: Battery-free and fully recyclable, it is built for long-term use with replaceable components. Scratches or damage to the screen do not require full badge replacement, further reducing waste.

  • Networking Badge: Although it contains a battery, we utilise solar-powered charging systems, ensuring that no electricity from the mains is used. With a lifespan of over 15 years, these badges are reused for multiple events, demonstrating our commitment to reducing electronic waste.

2. Waste Reduction and Zero-Waste Approach
We are proud to operate as an almost zero-waste business:

  • Our products eliminate single-use plastics, paper, and ink at events, removing the need for paper name badges, single-use lanyards, business cards, printed agendas, and event signage.

  • We track the paper and ink saved at each event by comparing our digital solutions to traditional methods, demonstrating the positive environmental impact of our products.

3. Eco-Friendly Operations

  • Our office runs on solar power, and we maintain a fully digital, paper-free work environment where all contracts and documentation are stored electronically.

  • We avoid printing materials, such as brochures or signage, wherever possible. When physical signage is required by organisers, we evaluate the environmental impact of digital alternatives such as TVs versus printed materials.

  • All of our products are recyclable, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint over the product lifecycle.

4. Sustainable Supply Chain and Transport

  • We invest in carbon-neutral solutions, sourcing batteries from suppliers who meet strict sustainability standards, even when this means higher costs.

  • For international suppliers, we prioritise shipping by sea rather than air to reduce our carbon footprint. We also ensure that every aspect of our supply chain adheres to environmentally responsible practices.

  • Whenever travel is necessary, we prioritise public transport. When car use is required due to event location constraints, we promote carpooling to reduce emissions.

5. Monitoring and Measurement
We actively track the positive environmental impact of our solutions:

  • We measure the number of trees saved by eliminating paper materials from events.

  • We track ink saved by replacing traditional printed badges and signage with digital alternatives.

  • The data we collect allows us to provide event organisers with transparent insights into the sustainability benefits of using our products.

6. Employee Engagement and Training

  • While our employees are not directly involved in external sustainability initiatives, they regularly attend sustainability training sessions to remain informed about environmental best practices and ensure that our company values are reflected in their daily work.

7. Commitment to Continuous Improvement
At Blendology, we are always striving to innovate and improve the sustainability of our products and services. Our newest development, the Lite Badge, is even more sustainable than previous models, eliminating the need for batteries entirely.
We will continue to explore ways to reduce our carbon footprint, minimise waste, and ensure that sustainability remains at the forefront of everything we do.
